The Annual Candle Light Ceremony Held In Memory Of Those Who Passed Last Year.

There was a somber ceremony held last Tuesday evening at the May monthly meeting of Newtown Square's General Smedley D. Butler Detachment of the Marine Corps League. In memory of our Detachment and Auxiliary members who passed away last year, the annual Candle Light Ceremony was held. In that ceremony, a member holds a lighted candle representing each of those no longer with us. As the Commandant calls out the name of our deceased sister or brother, a bell is rung and a candle is extinguished. This year we remembered Detachment members Frank Grieser and Frank Mayer and Auxiliary members Laura Del Rosario and Jeanne Falgiatore. May they rest in peace.
