Aqua PA Work Affecting Two Newtown Roads Starting June 19

The work will be ongoing daily until it is completed in the fall, Aqua PA said.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Aqua PA is planning to replace water mains in the Newtown Township soon, and the work will cause traffic disruptions on two roads as the work continues into fall.

According to Aqua, water main replacement work will being the week of June 19 and will affect Butler Drive and Goshen Road until the project is complete in the fall.

Goshen Road will have a detour as it will be closed between Newtown Street Road and Butler Drive.

Butler will be closed between Goshen and Tyson roads.

The work on Goshen will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.n. while Butler's work will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. All work will be done Monday through Friday.

Access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash services. The detour timing should take place after the morning rush hour and before the evening one. Residents will have access to their properties, but at
times will need to enter from different directions due to changing workzones.

Aqua will notify customers 24 hours in advance of any scheduled shutdown. However, as with any construction project, an emergency shutdown might be necessary. If so, AQUA will restore service as soon as possible.
