Armed Robber Steals Pills From Delco Pharmacy On Election Day​

Police said the suspect, who was armed with a handgun, made off with numerous pill containers during the Nov. 7 pharmacy hold up.

An armed robber stole numerous bottles of pills from a Delaware County pharmacy on election day, according to local police. Authorities in the area are now asking for the public's help in identifying the man.

Springfield Township Police said the incident occurred at about 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the CVS Pharmacy located at Baltimore Pike and Norwinden Drive in Springfield Township.

A black man entered the store pushing a stroller at that time, police said.

The man approached the pharmacy counter and handed over a note saying he was armed and wanted all the Oxycodone pills in the pharmacy.

The man also showed a handgun in his right hand. The gun appeared to have duct tap on it, police said.

He then went into the pharmacy area where an employee handed over numerous pill containers, police said.

He fled the store on foot and was last seen getting into a four-door vehicle, possibly a brown Dodge Neon with driver side damage, police said.

The stroller he was pushing was left behind, as well as the demand note, police said.
