Baby Safe After Being Taken In Delaware County Car Theft

Police said a baby was inside a vehicle that was stolen Wednesday night in Upper Darby. The child is safe, and one person is in custody.

UPPER DARBY, PA — A baby was found safe after it was taken in a stolen vehicle Wednesday, authorities in Delaware County said.

Police in Upper Darby said a gray 2020 Hyundai Elentra was stolen at about 6:30 p.m. on 69th Street.

Police said a child was in the vehicle when it was stolen.

However, the child was found safe.

Fox 29 reportsone person was taken into custody with the incident after the vehicle was found in Philadelphia and an hour-long barricade situation.
