Ballot Drop Boxes Now Open In Marple, Newtown Townships

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — As the 2024 general election grows nearer, Delaware County has opened dozens of ballot drop boxes around the county to help voters make their voices heard.

And two boxes are now open in Marple and Newtown.

These boxes are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week through 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Completed mail and absentee ballot envelopes can be dropped off at any ballot box in Delaware County.

In Marple, the box is located at the Marple Public Library, 227 S. Sproul Rd, Broomall 19008. In Newtown, the box is at Newtown Township Municipal Building, 209 Bishop Hollow, Newtown Square 19073.

Only voters who have applied for a mail or absentee ballots in 2024 will receive one for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election. Applications require valid ID and are available online here.

The deadline to request a ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 29. However, voters who are interested in using
mail/absentee voting should apply now to make sure they have time to receive and return their
ballots by Nov. 5.

Applications can be completed online or in person at the Delaware County Voter Service Center,
located in the Government Center Building, 201 W. Front Street, in Media.

Anyone who does not receive their requested ballot within five days of application approval, call 610-891-8683 or visit the Voter Service Center.

To ensure your mail/absentee ballot is counted, follow the instructions for marking, sealing, and returning it. If a mistake is made, residents can call the Delaware County Election Hotline at 610-891-8683 for guidance, visit the Delaware County Voter Service Center in Media to request a replacement ballot or envelope, or go online here.

Voters can only return their own ballots. Exceptions are made for assisting disabled or emergency absentee voters, which require a signed declaration form available online here.

The Delaware County Voter Service Center can be accessed through the Courtyard, accessible from Orange Street or West Third Street. On-street parking is available.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
