On Saturday, April 30, the members of Broomall Rotary Club spent the day at Ann Road Park on Ann Road in Broomall. Yes, there was some playing on the slides and swings, but mostly they were there to scrape and sand the rust and put a fresh coat of paint on all the fun playground equipment.
In fact, the equipment was donated to the park many years ago during the presidency of the late Rotarian Rich Lieghton. The event, which was just one of many such events across our region, was organized by Rotarian Lou Pace. In dozens of communities, local rotarians showed up for the first annual Rotary at Work Day. Broomall Rotary is involved all year long in many different community projects and they are always glad for new members.
