Mother's Day Contest
My mother is the greatest because at 73 she continues to give of herself unselfishly everyday no matter what obstacles she faces of her own.

I would like to nominate my mother for the Mother's Day Contest. First of all to be a mom is the greatest role in the world. I have 4 kids of my own, so I know of the time that needs to be put in. My mother is 73 years old, and has raised 5 children. It hasn't always been easy. With 5 kids we all demand a lot of her time but somehow she never lets any of us down. She and my dad are married 52 yrs. They moved out to Broomall 16 yrs ago to be closer to me and my children. We were the ones who were blessed. My mother has had a horribly tough road the past 17 years. She overcome Breast cancer, continues fighting hodgkins, then ovarian cancer just a few years ago. I cant imagine the strength and determination that pulled her through all of these life stopping moments, but she does it. She looks more beautiful today than I ever imagined. She still has the sparkly green eyes that greet us as we go to her house for dinner practically every night. She has more energy than I do. While taking care of all her kids, and grandchildren she always makes sure she takes pride in herself. She always looks beautiful. There has never ever been a time that myself, my brothers, sisters, or any of her grandchildren needed her that she didnt pull through. She's my mother, cook, companion, friend, therapist, and Giant mini mart in a house (old people they have everything stocked haha). She is my absolute everything and I would be at a loss without her. So few of us are blessed to still have our mothers in our lives as we ourselves journey through motherhood ourselves, but somehow God knows I need her here with me more than anything and allows me to keep her here on earth and for that I am thankful. Happy Mothers Day to everyone!!!!
