News From the First Responders: Updates on Cadet Program, Upcoming Events

The members of the . would like to thank all of those who attended our annual spring carnival the past two weekends. It is always nice to meet the folks we serve and appreciate your support. This year’s carnival was another GREAT success because of you! Thank you!

The is off to a great start, we have 14 young ladies and gentlemen that have spent the last month getting to know what firefighters do and how we help the community. Highlights of the past month include the cadets having the opportunity to ride in the bucket of one of our fire trucks, “The Snorkel,” with experienced operators, working with the firefighters using the rescue tool “Jaws of Life” on an old truck we use for training and learning how to keep their own families safe; hunting for home hazards and developing a home escape plan.

will be holding their first annual Golf Outing on June 1, 2011, at . Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. with a shot gun start at 12:30 p.m. Dinner and awards will be held at 5:30 p.m.

Registration fees are as follow:

• Individual golfer–$115
• Foursome–$410
• Hole Sponsorships–$130
