Paul Ryan: Romney's Best Choice
It will be Romney's economic plan that will save America.
Welcome to the 21st Century political game. Newly chosen Republican vice president candidate Paul Ryan has a plan to save America. But, excuse me, saving this country is the job of the president. Americans do not elect vice presidents, only presidents are elected by the people to do the people’s work.
Since the beginning of this Republic, it is the president of the United States who is in charge and who governs. In the six decades that I have been following American politics, I never heard of a vice president claiming such power except maybe, during the George W. Bush years when almost everyone in this country knew that Dick Cheney was actually running the country and who was the power behind the throne.
Don’t take me wrong, I think Paul Ryan is a great choice to become the next vice president of the United States but, it is Romney who will govern and take this country back to the prosperity we used to have. It will be Romney’s economic plan that will create American jobs and restore the standard of living we have become so accustomed to in recent years.

As for Paul Ryan, political blunders are not new in American politics. Even Romney misspoke when he presented Ryan as the next president of the United States. Maybe that is why Paul Ryan took upon himself to speak as he did when he said, “My plan is to save America.”
Yes, American political blunders happen frequently in this country. We all remember the Reagan years when John Hinckley Jr. tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan. In the heat of the moment, while the President was in the hospital and Vice President Bush was traveling back to the White House, people wondered who was in charge in Washington.

That is when Secretary of State Alexander Haig made one of the biggest blunders in American history when he answered to reporters saying, “I am in control, in charge here at the White House…” when we all know that in the absence of a president and vice president the next person in line to serve this great nation is the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Well, take away the blunders and all the other fluff that comes with free elections in this beautiful and colorful country, I am proud to say that Mr. Ryan will be a fresh face in the upcoming November elections. Ryan’s conservatism is what this country needs to restore the hope for mankind on earth because the United States has been and continues to be the last best hope for humanity. Yes, the United States of America is as bountiful today as it has been for generations.
Therefore, let us republicans and democrats alike put away our prejudices and rally around the best candidate to guide this country to prosperity. Let us return to those ideals that made this country great: freedom, personal responsibility, hard work and diligence but, most importantly, we must return to a government that gives the people the freedom to achieve his or her American dream.
Big government with choking regulations is anathema to prosperity. It is limited government that gives people the incentive and the motivation to create jobs and the wealth that we all aspire to.
This November, let us put our differences aside and create such an environment for the people of this great nation for that is what is best for the United States of America.
