The Magic of Couponing at Target

You can save money almost anywhere that accepts coupons. There is a not so little gem called Target that can be a couponer's dream.  The great thing about Target is that they have food, healthcare items, domestics, clothes, toiletries, paper goods, etc. You can save yourself a lot of time, gas, and trips to multiple stores by choosing to shop in a single store that offers great deals.  

Target is also known for price matching a local store's adertisement for the same product. That means, if Acme is having a sale on Quaker Granola Bars for $1.99, Target will match that price with a copy of the advertisement.  They will also allow you to use a Target coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon for each item that you buy, even if the product is on sale.

Stacking two coupons is how most couponers get their best deals and free items.Target currently has over 100 deals that you can get for under $1. The couponing site couponingtodisney.com has a master list that is updated all the time.  This list is filled with all kinds of items like deodorants, toothpaste, oatmeal, organic goods, condiments, trash bags, pet items and more.

All of these items are available to you for $1 or less at Target. You will notice that couponingtodisney.com lets you in on another couponing trick. You can use your coupons without size restrictions to get the smallest possible products available. Many couponers buy these smaller items also known as travel items, for summer travel, gift baskets, and donations to local shelters.

I like to use the smaller items for my gym bag, pool bag, and diaper bags. You would be surprised at how often you use something that is convenient and free. Here are a few fantastic finds: Jamba Smoothies-$2.49.  Use $1/1 Target coupon from their Expect More Booklet (expires June 25) plus use $1/1 from May 22 (expires Aug. 31). Your total: $0.49.

Here are some more deals: Fuze Slenderize, 16.9 oz, Singles for $1.27. Watch for B1G1 FREE Fuze or Gold Peak Tea Target coupon hangtags. Use $1/2 from April 10 SS (expires July 10). Your total: $0.77. Or how about Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Flushable Refill-$3.94. Use $3/1 from May 15 SS (expires June 25). Your total: $0.94. Plan every trip that you take by making a list and having your coupons in order.

Target can get very overwhelming, when you are trying to stack your coupons. Target is also one of those stores where I say bring your coupon binder with you. I encourage impulse buys when you find something on an end-cap marked down that you will use. Since each store is different, you can sometimes find that awesome deal just waiting to be scooped up by using a coupon with a clearance item. You can do it! Happy Couponing!
