What's Your Coupon Organizing Personality?

Coupon organizing will save you time and money. Simple tips to help you solve your coupon organizing dilemmas.

There are so many ways that you can organize your coupons. It really is essential to your success that you know how to find your coupons. The point to couponing is that you actually use your coupons. Coupon organizing calls for a system that you can stick with that will be fast and effective.

The “chop and stuff” couponers are the eager beavers that cut out every single coupon in every single paper and stuff them in little pockets. The little pockets also known as baseball card holders are very small and, in my opinion, hard to stuff. I have tried to squish and stuff my coupons into those perfect little plastic sheets only to have them tear and just not fit.  As for cutting out all of the coupons, who has that much time?

The “clip and drop” couponers have the best intentions. These couponers clip the coupons that they are going to use and drop them into any available envelope, folder, or purse that is handy. This is one hot mess when you are trying to do your coupon match-ups and snag a great deal. You will waste time and energy searching through random coupons in search of that “one” coupon to seal your deal.

The last group “file, match, and clip” couponers use the match-up system. With this system, you do not cut any coupons until you are ready to use them. You can use various blogs to help you match the current sales with the coupons that are available to get the best deals. Your coupons will be organized fully intact by date. What a time saver!

No matter what category you fall in, it has to be a system that is time effective and works for you. Choose a system that you will use long-term. I have tried every single method that you could think of to try and save myself time and money. I use the last group “file, match, and clip” to help me coupon.

This method affords me the luxury of cutting only when I am going to use my coupon. I spend about five minutes each Sunday dating and filing my inserts.  I also save more money because I only use the coupon when it is matched with a sale. Coupons that are used in conjunction with a sale or discount will help you get a product at a deeply discounted price or even free.

Happy Couponing!
