Brew Made Partially In Delco Raises $21K For Veterans

The "Adapt And Overcome" IPA was made with rain and malt for the beer came from Deer Creek Malthouse in Glen Mills, which is veteran owned.

GLEN MILLS, PA — A beer made partially in Delaware County has raised more than $21,000 for veterans across the state.

According to Breweries In PA, the 5.9 percent ABV "Adapt And Overcome" IPA was released across all of Pennsylvania at 20 participating breweries on Memorial Day this year.

In total, $21,349.44 was donated directly to the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation.

Grain and malt for the beer came from Deer Creek Malthouse in Glen Mills, which is veteran-owned.

While some hops used in the beer had been produced by GEMS Farms Hops in Carlisle; both of which are veteran-owned.

To support the large volume of beer needed for this project manufacturing of the beer was split between Gear House Brewing in Chambersburg and 2nd Story Brewing in Philadelphia, both of which are veteran owned and operated and involved in the release.

For those not familiar, the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation exists to provide assistance and support for Pennsylvania veterans and their families.

Over the last 8 years they have raised over 2 million dollars towards their cause.
