Broomall Fire Co Hosting Kids' Essentials Donation Drive Saturday

BROOMALL, PA — The Broomall Fire Company is one of a few locations in the Philadelphia area that will host a collection day for a non-profit group that supports children in the region.

Cradles to Crayons is Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) non-profit group that provides area children with essential items, such as clothes, hygiene products, and more.

The group is hosting its "Big Give" day on Saturday at various locations in and around Philadelphia.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, the Broomall Fire Company will be open for anyone to donate items as part of the drive.

This drive is aimed at collecting children’s essentials to carry the group through the coming fall and winter months.

Donations of new and like-new goods that are appropriate for use by children ages newborn to 12 are accepted.

Cradles to Crayons' mission strives to provide every child with the essentials they need to feel valued. Therefore, donor are asked to ensure that like-new donations are high-quality and not ripped, stained, broken, or missing pieces.

These items will be used to create customized KidPacks.

KidPacks are hand-selected with care to meet a local boy or girl’s specific needs and wants.
