Broomall Giant Supermarket Moving To New Location

BROOMALL, PA – Attention Giant shoppers: your Broomall Giant Supermarket will be moving locations next year.

Those who frequent the grocer in Broomall will have a new store to shop at come late 2019, according to Giant officials.

The 2910 Springfield Road Giant store will be replaced by a new store at West Chester Pike and Interstate 476, officials announced Tuesday, April 10.

Shoppers can expect the new store open late next year.

The move is part of a major $70 million investment by Giant, which includes adding six new stores, remodeling two locations, opening five new fuel stations in Pennsylvania, and entering the East Stroudsburg and Walnutport communities.

"We are positioning the company for long-term growth, and we are excited to grow our presence within East Stroudsburg and Walnutport to better serve the families in those communities," Nicholas Bertram, GIANT president, said. "This year GIANT is celebrating our founding in Pennsylvania 95 years ago, so we’re especially proud to make these new investments in our home state."
