Police said Monroe approached the corporal with clenched fists and said "come on, let’s get it on," before asking about the corporal's firearms.

Monroe then lunged at the corporal's holstered firearm, but was unable to get the gun and was taken into custody despite resisting, police said.
Police learned from the burglary victim that she was in her basement when Monroe came in to the home through an unlocked door, saying he was looking for "Jim."
The victim said he was in the wrong house and then the victim's dog attacked Monroe's leg, police said.
Monroe left the home then went to a neighboring home where police said he tried to get inside, but was unable to.
Monroe is being held on 10 percent of $500,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 4, court records show.
