Broomall Man Struck Woman In Face, Choked Teen: Police

A 34-year-old Broomall man is facing charges after Springfield Police said he attacked a woman an juvenile last week.

BROOMALL, PA — A Broomall man is facing assault, harassment, and related crimes after police allege he attacked a woman and a teenager last week.

Springfield Township Police said Richard DiPietro, 31, of Broomall has been charged with simple assault, harassment, and terroristic threats, all misdemeanor charges.

DiPietro is accused of striking a woman in the face and choking a boy at on Dec. 19 on the 400 block of Glendale Circle in Springfield, police said.

He was taken into custody on Dec. 20 by Marple Township Police and turned over to Springfield Police.

DiPietro was released after posting 10 percent of $75,000 bail on Dec. 21, according to court documents.

He is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 2, court records show.
