Broomall Teen Accepts Role on World Championship Curling Team

The Marple Newtown High School junior was an alternate for the 2013 World Women's Championships.

Sarah Anderson, a junior at Marple Newtown High School, was asked to be an alternate for the 2013 World Women’s Championships after playing the team in the qualifying rounds of the 2013 USA Curling National Championships recently.

Anderson accepted immediately.

In Latvia, she participated in practices, assisted the team and absorbed everything she could from her curling idols, according to teamusa.org.

“It was a real fun and eye-opening experience to go over there and just play against all these top teams of all ages,” Anderson told teamusa.org.
