Community Update

Esther M. “Terry” (Findlay) Breithaupt, 86, of Rose
Valley, formerly Newtown Square, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at
Sunrise Senior Living of Paoli.  She was
the widow of Erwin Carl Breithaupt Jr., who passed away in June 2011.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of
the late Marie (Dougherty) and Wallace Findlay.



 



Mrs.
Breithaupt was a member of the first class of the Charles E. Ellis College For
Fatherless Girls, Newtown Square, PA and then received her Bachelor’s degree
from West Chester State Teacher’s College.  Prior
to raising her own children, Esther was a kindergarten teacher in the 1950’s at
Aronimink Elementary School in Drexel Hill.  She spent the rest of her life as a homemaker, occasionally
substitute teaching.  Esther and Erwin were also longtime members of Grace
Lutheran Church, Broomall, PA.

Mrs. Breithaupt is survived by her children, Marietta “Sunny”
wife of Rob Johnson, of Winnemucca, NV and E. Carl Breithaupt III and his wife
Julie, of Rose Valley, PA, six grandchildren,  JoAnn Casalez, Robert Johnson, Louri Lesbo,
Jonathan Gervais, Amanda Johnson, and Katrina Breithaupt, and also eleven great
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death
by her brother, Wallace Findlay, and half sister, Bonnie Findlay.

A memorial service is tentatively planned for both Esther
and Erwin shortly before their 65th wedding anniversary on April 1st.  Information will be available by contacting
their son, Carl at (610) 565-8855.  Arrangements
are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc.  Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
