Chesterbrook Academy Campers Raise $300 for Children with Cancer

Summer campers presented a check for more than $300 to the president of the HEADstrong Foundation, Cheryl Colleluori

Summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Media Line Road in Newtown Square recently presented a check for more than $300 to the president of the HEADstrong Foundation, Cheryl Colleluori. To raise money for the organization, campers held a "Be the Change" coin drive throughout the summer. After accepting the donation, Cheryl read her book, "Laced Together," which she wrote about her son and founder of the program, Nick Colleluori, who lost his battle with cancer in 2006. Cheryl wrote the children's book to assist the organization in educating and empowering elementary school students throughout the country.

The HEADstrong Foundation provides financial assistance, entertainment, complimentary lodging and support to help improve the quality of life for those affected by cancer.
