Christmas Day Fire Destroys Broomall Home, Displaces 5
The Broomall Fire Company battled the house fire early Christmas morning. Five people have been displaced after the blaze.
BROOMALL, PA — A house fire on Christmas Day has displaced several people and destroyed their home, according to officials and reports.
The Broomall Fire Company was called to a home on the 1100 block of Cedar Grove Road in Marple Township at about 1 a.m. on Christmas.
Crews spent two hours battling the fire at the two-story home in below freezing temperatures, the fire company said.

Those in the home were able to escape without suffering serious injuries and were treated at area hospitals.
Fox 29 reports they were a woman, her four children, and her friend.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist the family who is displaced by the fire.
"They were woken up by the smoke and flames," the page reads. "If anyone could donate it would be great to get this family a Christmas they deserve."
As of Tuesday morning, more than $16,000 of the $20,000 goal has been raised.
