DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Following several weeks of declining coronavirus numbers in Delaware County, new data from state officials show some metrics are rising again.
Data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Friday shows four of the six key coronavirus metrics have increased over the past seven days.
Newly reported cases, the incidence rate per 100,000 people, the positive testing rate, and average daily ventilator use saw increases since last week.

Average daily hospitalizations and the percent of people showing up at hospitals with coronavirus-like illnesses dropped.
New cases went up from 549 to 583.

The county's incidence rate increased slightly from 96.9 to 102.9.
Positive test rates this week were 5.2 percent, up from 4.7 last week
Average daily coronavirus patients on ventilators also went up slightly, from 4.7 to 5.1.
The average number of coronavirus specific hospitalizations saw a small drop. This week's number is 44.1; last week's was 41.4.
Lastly, the percent of people showing up at hospitals with coronavirus-like illnesses went down from 1.6 percent to 1.4 percent.
As of Friday, 298,414 people in Delaware County have been fully vaccinated, 33,978 have been partially vaccinated, and 5,574 have had an additional dose since Aug. 13.
The county to date has seen 51,419 confirmed cases and 1,462 coronavirus-related deaths.
