3 Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Pickup Truck In Marple: Police

It happened near an elementary school. But no students, staff or busses were involved, officials told Patch.

MARPLE, PA — Three people were seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Marple Township, officials told Patch.

A Nissan sedan was traveling southbound on Sproul Road around 7 a.m., when it entered the northbound lanes and struck a Nissan pickup truck at Morton Avenue, said Marple Police Chief Brandon M. Graeff.

Both drivers were taken to Paoli Hospital, while the sole passenger inside the pickup truck was brought to Lankenau Medical Center.

The crash happened a block north of Russell Elementary School. But no students, staff or busses were involved, Graeff said.

The Delaware County Crash Team will assist Marple Police with investigating.
