Delco Bear Captured By Game Wardens After Daylong Search

The bear was found in a tree in Clifton Heights at about 1 a.m. where it was tranquilized and captured unharmed, authorities said.

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, PA — The bear that was roaming Delaware County has been captured, according to officials.

The Clifton Heights Police Department said the bear was captured at about 1 a.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of West Baltimore Avenue.

According to police, the bear was found in a tree.

Pennsylvania game wardens tranquilized the bear and captured it unharmed, police said.

Police and the Clifton Heights Fire Company said the bear is being relocated outside of Delaware County.
