Delco Child Rapist Sentenced To Prison

The man will see the inside of a cell for 13 to 40 years after being convicted of raping a then 4-year-old child back in 2017.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County man convicted of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child was sentenced to prison Tuesday, authorities said.

Delaware County District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland said Michael Adam Kaminsky, 47, of Haverford Township, was sentenced to 13 to 40 years in prison. Kaminsky was also orded to serve a lifetime registration as a sex offender under Megan's Law, for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child in 2017, who was 4-year-old at the time of the abuse.

Kaminsky was convicted in November 2018, being found guilty of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a child, sexual assault, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

"The deplorable actions of Michael Kaminsky are abhorrent and beyond reprehensible, as he sexually abused an innocent 4-year old child who was entrusted with his care," Copeland said. "As the result of the courageous testimony of the victim and his family, the defendant will be in prison for a very long time, and he can cause no more harm. I commend Haverford Township Police Detective Albert William Hufnal, CID Detective Paul Corsi, and child forensic interviewer Jodi Kaplan for their dedicated work on this very difficult case, along with Assistant District Attorney Christopher Boggs of the District Attorney’s Special Victims Unit who has brought justice for the victim and his family."
