Delco Flooding: 5 State Roads Closed, PennDOT Says

PennDOT said numerous state roads across the region, including five in Delaware County, are closed due to flooding from Ida's remnants.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Several state roads in Delaware County are closed to due to flooding from Ida's remnants Wednesday and early Thursday morning.

According to PennDOT, five state roads in the county are among many others closed in the region.

The roads will remain closed until they are deemed safe to reopen to traffic.

Drivers should watch for ponding on roadways and flooding in poor drainage areas while traveling.

Drivers are reminded to not drive across roads covered with water because even shallow, swiftly flowing water can wash a car from a roadway. Also, the roadbed may not be intact under the water. Never drive around barricades or signs on closed roads.
