According to a guard who witnessed the attack, on Friday the guard was locking down a unit when the Farmer blocked the door to his cell.

Farmer then body-slammed the guard, throwing him to the ground where he lost consciousness, the DA's office said.

According to the DA's office, Farmer continued to attack the guard as he lay unconscious on the ground.

The guard was later hospitalized with a cut to his head, three broken vertebrae, and possible internal bleeding.

Farmer admitted to punching, body slamming, and then getting on top of the victim and hitting him in the face.

He is still incarcerated at the prison. No date for arraignment has been set.
