Delco Judges Reportedly Drops Lawsuit Against Marple Twp.
Cardinal Crossing developer sought over $8 million in reimbursement from township, reports say.

Delaware County Judge Chad Kenney dismissed a roughly $8 million lawsuit filed against Marple Township by the developer of the proposed Cardinal Crossing project, according to Delaware County Daily Times.
According to the Times, developer Bruce Goodman filed the suit after he spent millions in anticipation of building the major development and township officials denied to rezone the space on Sproul Road proposed for the project back in May.
The 213 acre space, owned by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, would have been turned into a retail and residential center, with around numerous residential units, a massive retail space, a medical center, fitness center, hotel, and convenience store with gas pumps, according to the time.

Since the project was unable to move forward, Goodman was hoping to recoup his non-refundable expenses and costs from the township, the Times reports.
According to the times, the complaint filed in Delaware County Common Pleas Court cites claims township officials supported the project in several primate meetings. Township officials dismissed the claim and called the suit "meritless," the Times reports.
