Man Killed Neighbor After Firing AR-15 Outside Home: Delco Cops
East Lansdowne Police said Yousuf Bahal fired more than 30 rounds from an AR-15 over the weekend, killing his 35-year-old neighbor.

EAST LANSDOWNE, PA — A Delaware County man is charged with homicide, murder, reckless endangerment, and more after police said he shot and killed his neighbor this weekend.
Yousuf Bahal, 30, of East Lansdowne, is accused of firing more than 30 rounds from an AR-15 rifle outside his home on the unit block of Penn Boulevard in East Lansdowne at about 1:56 a.m. Sunday.
Bahal is alleged to have fired at least one shot that hit and killed his 35-year-old neighbor, police said.

Police were called to the area for a report of gunfire and found Bahal shooting the rifle, police said.
Bahal dropped the rifle when confronted by police and was taken into custody, police said.

As police were securing the area, they found the neighbor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where she later died.
"As we continue to investigate this tragedy, the ELPD wishes to thank the Lansdowne Police, Yeadon Police, Clifton Heights Police, Upper Darby Police, Delaware County District Attorney’s Office of Criminal Investigations Division and paramedics for their assistance," police said. "We also wish to thank the residents who contacted us by calling 911, your actions helped get police on scene as soon as possible to stop the shooting and to relay vital information to responding officers."
Bahal was taken to the county jail without bail and is scheduled for his preliminary hearing on March 1, court records show.
