Delco Offering Drive-Thru, Walk-Up Coronavirus Testing

YEADON, PA — Drive-thru and walk-up coronavirus testing is available in Delaware County Saturday.

Delaware County residents can get tested for coronavirus at the Parking Lot Adjacent to Providence Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center on Mercy Fitzgerald Campus, 600 S. Wycombe Ave. in Yeadon Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.

Testing on Friday has been canceled due to weather, according to the county.

Residents 18 years old and up are eligible to be tested, especially those at higher risk including residents 65 and older, as well as residents with pre-existing health conditions.

Additionally, critical and essential workforce are considered a priority for getting testing. These workers include first responders, healthcare system employees, grocery stores workers, pharmacies employees, and other essential workers.

Nasal swab testing will be administered by trained medical.

Testing is free, and those with private or public health insurance will be asked to provide their insurance card.

Anyone coming to get tested is asked to wear a mask/face covering.

When coming to the testing site, patients will need to complete a registration form and a consent form.

Results will take up to five to seven business days and will be sent out by mail.

Residents who test positive will also receive a call from the Chester County Health Department.

Preregistration is requested and can be done by calling 610-891-5311. Walk-in testing will also be available.
