Delco Pair Charged In Brutal Bar Assault: Police

A pair of 21-year-old Delaware County men have been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, robbery and related crimes.

Two Delaware County men have been arrested after knocking multiple victims unconscious during a brutal assault at a West Chester bar, according to West Chester Police.

At about 12:18 p.m. on May 6 at Landmark Americana Bar in West Chester, Joseph Deldeo, 21, of Marcus Hook, and Zach Myers, 21, Garnet Valley, became involved in an altercation with several other men for unclear reasons. Police said that Myers and Deldeo were the aggressors.

In the ensuing assault, the pair knocked out two men and injured a third. The victims were taken to the hospital for lacerations and a broken jaw, among other injuries, police said.

An investigation identified Deldeo and Myers through video surveillance and photographs. The pair were arrested Thursday.

Deldeo faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and related counts, while Myers faces charges of robbery (items from one of the victims), simple assault, reckless endangerment, and related counts.

The pair were arraigned and then released on $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
