Delco Parents Charged After Toddler Ate Fentanyl-Laced Heroin
The pair face felony endangering the welfare of a child and related charges after their 16-month-old son chewed on an old bag of drugs.
UPPER DARBY, PA — Police have arrested and charged the parents of a toddler who ingested fentanyl-laced heroin after the mother overdosed Monday.
According to Upper Darby Police, Nora Boyle, 35 and Greg Searl, 42 with felony endangering the welfare of a child, recklessly endangering another person, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both are slated to appear for preliminary hearings on these charges on Feb. 20, court records show.

At about 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, Searl came home and found Boyle passed out and the child unconscious, according to CBS Philadelphia.
Searl took the boy to a hospital where he was given a dose of Narcan to be revived.

Police said the child was lucky to be alive.
CBS reports police suspect the child got old heroin baggies from a trash can and chewed on them.
