Delco Ready To Give Moderna, Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Boosters

People 65 and older, those with underlying medical conditions, and those who are at high risk of exposure can get the boosters.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — As federal and state health officials mull over coronavirus vaccine booster shots made by Modern and Johnson & Johnson, Delaware County is preparing to administer the additional doses.

The Delaware County COVID-19 Task Force will be ready to administer Moderna and Johnson & Johnson boosters as soon as they are authorized.

County officials are following the recommendations of the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health about the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine boosters.

Recommendations will follow the same guidelines as the Pfizer booster.

Individuals 65 and older as well as those 18 to 64 with underlying medical conditions or who are at high risk of exposure because of their jobs are eligible for a vaccine.

The booster will be given at a six-month interval from the last dose.
