Congratulations to the Newtown Square Historical Society for winning 1st place in the the small floats division of the 4th of July parade! The float this year was again manned by our home-school team of historical re-enactors. So congratulations to them and to the moms and dads and volunteers who came up with the theme, chased down all the moving parts, and made it happen again this year.
It wouldn't be much of a parade if everyone came to watch, but no one agreed to march and participate. These home schooled children know how to give back to their community. Perhaps we can all learn a lesson from them.
Ask not what your community can do for you, ask what you can do for your community!
