DUI Crackdown In 5 Delaware County Municipalities This Weekend
Over St. Patrick's Day weekend, police in Radnor, Haverford, Marple, Newtown, and Springfield townships will be cracking down on DUI.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Five Delaware County police departments are cracking down on DUI this weekend.
The Northern Delaware County DUI Taskforce will be conducting a DUI crackdown operation across its municipalities.
Police in Haverford, Marple, Newtown, Radnor and Springfield townships will be out enforcing driving under the influence laws.

Since September 2009, the taskforce has conducted 116 operations to date, resulting in the arrest of 182 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The taskforce has also issued 47 citations for underage drinking, along with 1,266 citations and 1,927 warnings for other motor vehicle violations.
The purpose of the Northern Delaware County DUI Taskforce is to save lives on the roadways and reduce injuries by aggressively enforcing DUI laws.
