Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Exhibition on View March 1-30

The Arts at Delaware County Community College presents The Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Exhibition from March 1 through March 30, 2012, in the Art Gallery (Academic Building, Room 2305, 901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA). The opening reception is on March 1 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the exhibition is free and open to the public.

The Contemporary Middle Eastern Exhibition brings together nine artists from Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, former Palestine, Canada, and the United States to promote cultural understanding and artistic dialogue. The participating artists are: Anas Alshaik, Adel Barakat, Adib Fattal, Archie Granot, Nabila Hilmi, Tammy Mike Laufer, Hussein Majed, Aisha Mansouri, Thamir Dawood Sudani and Camille Zakharia.

  • Al-Bustan Resident Takht Ensemble on March 1 at 7 p.m., Academic Building, Large Auditorium
  • Calligraphy Demo with artist Thamir Sudani on March 6 at 11 a.m., Art Gallery
