This course introduces the student (all ages welcome) to commonly used phrases and words, especially greetings, in over 40 different languages. Special emphasis will be on the more commonly used languages in this area such as Spanish, Indian, and Korean. Many languages from Europe, Asia, and Africa will be covered. The object of this course is to teach the existing members of our community to positively interact and welcome our newest members. The meaningful but simple approach enables the student to review these languages while exercising on a tread mill or stationary bike, or simply at your leisure. It is an ideal course for anyone coming into contact with people from foreign countries such as teachers, administrators, health care providers, sales people, travel agents and world travelers. Many students, especially those majoring in international business, education, health and nursing professions would enhance their resumes and thereby greatly increase their career/employment opportunities by learning the material in this course. This class will meet in the Community Center. Dr. Ralph Carrozza, who designed and developed the program, will instruct the class.
