ShAAAAAHbat Shuvah

Friday, September 30th, 8:00 PM ShAAAAAAbat Shuvah Mediation Service at Temple Sholom in Broomall

Shabbat Shuvah is the Shabbat between Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur.  This Shabbat Shuvah we are sharing a unique meditation service to celebrate the path some may know well and to help teach those of us unfamiliar with these practices. The service will feature chanting, guided mediation, Hassidic texts and much more. Please join Rabbi Peter rigler and Cantor Kerith Spencer Shapiro for this special experience!

The Sabbath of return, Shabbat Shuvah, falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. According to Jewish tradition it is a time of t'shuvah, for turning and returning to our best selves. How do we find clarity and focus during the days of awe or at any time during our lives?  Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav said, "the world is full of light and mysteries both wonderful and awesome, but our tiny little hand shades our eyes and prevents them from seeing."  Meditation and spiritually practices have become one path to help us see what often is hidden.
