Ex Guard Admits To Drugs Smuggling Attempt At Delco Prison
Chloe Vadel, 24, pleaded guilty to possessing contraband after fellow George W. Hill Correctional Facility workers were tipped off in 2021.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A former guard at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility in Delaware County admitted to possessing contraband after she was charged and accused of trying to smuggle drugs into the prison.
Chloe Vadel, 24, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance/contraband in court Wednesday.
Vadel was charged back in October 2021 after a fellow prison worker got a tip she was planning to bring drugs into the facility.

Correctional officer Sergeant Saleem Jones told Delaware County investigators he got information that Vadel was going to be bringing a large quantity of narcotics into the facility later that day.
Upon her arrival for duty that day, Vadel was removed from her post and acknowledged she had suboxone in her vehicle, and consented to a search.

In her vehicle, investigators found a rubber glove with 39 suboxone doses in it, nine balloons with an unidentified "leafy substance" inside them, 42 index-sized cards soaked in a liquid substance believed to be synthetic marijuana, and a small piece of cellophane containing a crystalline substance.
Vadel is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25, court records show.
