Fire Tears Through Lawrence Park Home Sunday: Broomall Fire Co

It took crews from area fire companies several hours to quell the fire that broke out Sunday morning on Eldon Lane in Marple Township.

LAWRENCE PARK, PA – A fire tore through part of a home in the Lawrence Park section of Marple Township Sunday morning, according to the Broomall Fire Company.

Crews were called to a home on the 400 block of Eldon Lane at about 9:45 a.m. for a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found part of a two-story split-level ablaze, the fire company said.

After about two-and-a-half hours of dousing the fire, crews were able to clear the scene.

The Broomall Fire Company assisted at the scene by the Marple Township Police Department, Marple Township Ambulance Corps, and the Springfield, Newtown Square, Bon Air, Manoa fire companies.

The fire company did not say if anyone was injured in the blaze.
