Flea Market To Benefit Hero Scholarship Fund Of Marple

The 43rd Annual Flea Market Sale will help support the families of fallen or disabled emergency responders.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Hero Scholarship Fund of Marple Township is sponsoring its 43rd Annual Flea Market Sale that will help support families of fallen or disabled emergency responders.

The annual market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 on the ground of Delaware County Community College, state Route 252 and Media Line Road, Marple Township.

The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 24.

The market will feature tons of vendors, food, and activities such as 50/50 raffles.

The Hero Scholarship Fund of Marple Township provides for the surviving spouse and children of police officers, fire fighters, or ambulance corp personnel killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.

Vendors can still become part of the annual market.

Each vendor space costs $40 by advance registration. Half of the $40 goes towards a donation to the Hero Scholarship Fund. If spaces are not sold out on the day of the market, each vendor space will cost $50. If you registers as a vendor the day of the market, $30 of the $50 goes towards a donation to the Hero Scholarship Fund.

Vendor spaces are about 33 feet by 16 feet.

Vendors can begin setting up at 6 a.m. the day of the market. All vendors will use the Media Line Road entrance. The public will be allowed into the market at 9 a.m. The Flea Market closes at 3 p.m. Vendors clean up and clear the college grounds by 4 p.m.

Vendors are responsible to bring all tables, racks, chairs, sun shade, etc., that they need.

Checks or money orders should be made out to Hero Scholarship Fund of Marple Township.
