Marple, Newtown Roads Closed Due To Hurricane-Related Flooding
Several roads in Marple and Newtown townships are closed due to flooding from Tropical Storm Isaias.

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — Several roads in Marple and Newtown townships are closed due to flooding, according to police.
Marple Township Police said at about 8:30 a.m. that flooding from Hurricane Isaias's rains closed the 900 block of Crum Creek Road, between Forest Lane and Water's Edge Road, and the 700 block of Old Marple Road.
Additionally, the Newtown Square Fire company the following roads are closed:

- Goshen Road between Earle's Lane and Aronimink Drive
- Goshen Road between Echo Valley Lane and Boot Road
- Goshen Road in front of Culbertson
- Goshen Road from 252 to Rockwood Farm Road
- White Horse Road by Hunt Valley
- Bryn Mawr Avenue near Brookside Road
- Cornerstone Drive at Troop Farm
- Media Line Road at Malley Road
- 100 block of Malin Road
- West Chester Pike westbound at Charles Ellis Drive
- Golf Club Lane

Police and fire officials did not say when they expect the roads to reopen.
