Local residents Lindsay Banes and Autefeh Ahmadi will hold a Food Drive Sunday, March 23 at Paxon Hollow Country Club to benefit Philabundance. The drive will be held in the lobby from noon to 3 p.m.
Nutritious foods are needed.
The duo will also sell raffle tickets for donors to win prizes.
Food insecurity -- the lack of access to nutritious, affordable food -- is widely present in every community in the Delaware Valley and is affecting almost 900,000 people. Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry.
Lindsay is a senior at West chester who will be obtaining her bachelors in Speech pathology in May. She will be pursuing her masters of Speech in the fall.
Autefeh is a graduate of Gwynedd mercy and is currently pursuing her masters in Social work.
Both are MNSD Alumni, attending Loomis Elementary, Paxon Hollow MS, and Marple Newtown HS '09
