Fun 4-H Summer Day Camp!

Summer Day Camp at the 4-H farm creates unique hands on learning through our four day camp program!

Delaware County 4-H Day Camp features a variety of camping opportunities for summer 2015.

Young people, ages 8-13 (as of 1/1/15), may learn and create with 4-H Staff during 4-H Day Camp, June 22-25, July 6-9, July 13-16 and July 20-23 at the 4-H Farm on Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown Square. A wide variety of day camp sessions are available. Projects include: Archery; covers safety, equipment handling, aiming and shooting a recurve bow. Exploring Your Environment; focuses on environment stewardship. Wildlife is all Around Us; PA 4-H Wildlife Conservation. Farm Animal Care; learn about farm animals and how to care for them (picture attached.) Orienteering ;map-reading and compass skills help you find your way in an unfamiliar area. Meet the Plants; beginning course on plant identification. Trees+ Me = Forestry; explore the woods and learn about ecosystems. Candy Making ; learn how to make candies and package as gifts. Cooking Camp; participants “travel” the world while learning basic cooking skills and preparing lunch. Horse Day Camp; learn to ride and care for horses.

Each project meets Monday through Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-2:30 p.m.; Horse Day Camps begin at 9 a.m. Youth may sign up for a.m. and p.m. classes and bring a lunch for between sessions, where adult supervision will be provided. All campers have the opportunity to enter their projects in the 4-H Summer Fair August 7-9, 2015.

The registration fees vary, financial assistance may be available for resource stressed families and active military families. All materials will be provided and class sizes are limited. Pre-registration is required.
