Gas Line Installation Work On 2 Newtown Roads Underway

PECO has just started performing a natural gas line installation at Rodney Drive and Surrey Drive in Newtown Square.

Below is a copy of the door hanger that was sent to residents of these two streets. The work will be taking place through October.

Although taking place adjacent to the 2023 Road Program paving work (Hilltop Road and Radnor Drive), PECO is working with the Township to ensure that work on both projects are not occurring too close to reach other simultaneously. They understand that the intersections at Surrey / Rodney / Hilltop cannot be closed for PECO work while the repaving on Hilltop Road and Radnor Drive takes place.

As always, please be very careful while travelling through a work zone, and follow the instructions of the workers there who want to keep everyone safe while the work takes place.
