GreenDrop Opens Fourth Charitable Giving Center in Delaware County
Local donation drop-off service opens its newest location in Newtown Square

GreenDrop—the organization revolutionizing how consumers support charities by donating clothing, shoes, and household goods – unveils its newest donation center in Newtown Square in support of Delaware County’s award-winning recycling programs.
Newtown Square-area residents are invited to donate their unwanted clothing, shoes, electronics, and household goods at the drop-off facility on 3101 West Chester Pike, where they will be greeted by a uniformed attendant who will unload goods from their car and direct their giving to one of GreenDrop’s four partner charities: the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Philadelphia, Military Order of the Purple Heart, National Federation of the Blind, or American Red Cross. Donors who register with GreenDrop will receive tax-deductible documentation for their donation.
“We are truly grateful for the support we have received as we open our fourth location in Delaware County, said Tony Peressini, chief executive officer of GreenDrop. “With nearly 30 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, we are now more eager than ever to continue our mission of doing good for our partner charities, the environment, and the many communities we operate in.”

As GreenDrop’s 17th Pennsylvania location, the Newtown Square site will help Pennsylvania residents maintain access to notable green programs as well as contribute to the state’s 22 percent increase in recycling since 2012.
Formerly an Enterprise car rental facility, GreenDrop’s newest facility in Newtown Square has been transformed into a clean, brightly lit, charitable donation center where donations are protected from the elements before being converted to funding for programs and initiatives of GreenDrop’s four partner charities. In the last decade, the company has raised over $20 million for its charity partners.
