DCS Artist in Residence Jennifer Nicole Campbell will perform works by Gershwin, Debussy, Rorem and Dr. Robert Whalen will conduct Suite from Appalachian Spring by Copland.

Ms. Campbell enjoys a wide-ranging career as soloist, chamber musician and pedagogue. She has performed at notable halls including Lincoln Center, the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Grand Opera House in Delaware, and the Musikhauset Aarhus in Denmark among others. Her extensive repertoire ranges from works of J.S. Bach to Israeli-American composer Avner Dorman. She was also praised by Robert Sherman, WQXR and WFUV Classical Music Radio Host, "not only as a beautiful pianist, but as a thinking artist...she is a composer herself, and is really able to get into the heart of a piece, and project it's inner statements." "sensitive colorist and intelligent musician, Ms. Campbell reflected total immersion in her music".

The program will conclude with Suite from Appalachian Spring, original version for 13 instruments by Aaron Copland and performed by the DCS Chamber Orchestra under the baton of conductor Dr. Robert Whalen.
