Help Feed 20,000 hungry schoolchildren!

Dear Delaware County Neighbors:

Would you like to help feed 20,000 hungry schoolchildren? On March 12th, 2017, volunteers (including me and around 125 nutty friends in hair nets) will be packing meals on behalf of Stop Hunger Now, a nationally registered 502c3 non-profit organization - and we are asking for your financial support. This local effort will be hosted by Newtown Square Presbyterian Church. This is a family-oriented project, with participants ranging in age from 8 to 80+! Note: Stop Hunger Now is not affiliated with any religious organizations.

One meal costs just 29 cents! A donation of $29 will provide enough food to package 100 meals! Financial support from local friends and businesses will ensure that we raise the $6,000 needed to purchase the ingredients to feed 20,689 children in schools and in orphanages around the world.

Since its inception, Stop Hunger Now has provided almost 275 million meals in 74 countries. They have also provided medicine, medical supplies, medical equipment, clothing and blankets to millions of hungry, vulnerable people, as close to home as the disaster victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy.

After a successful meal-packaging event, Stop Hunger Now sends the supplies to countries with whom they have partnered. The food goes directly to schools and orphanages, which are often the sole source of daily nutritious meals for the children. Parents send their children for the food, enrollments rise, and these well-fed schoolchildren become educated and are then able to give back to their communities.
