I-476, Route 1 In Marple Seeing Overnight Lane Closures Next Week

Periodic overnight lane closures will affect traffic in Interstate 476 north and south as well as U.S. Route 1 in Marple Township next week.

MARPLE, PA — Interstate 476 south and south as well as U.S. Route 1 in Marple will be affected by overnight guide rail repairs next week, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said overnight periodic lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 476 and Route 1 in Marple from Sunday, April 14, through Friday, April 19.

Lane closures will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, PennDOT said.

The work locations include:

I-476 north and south will have lane closures between the U.S. 1 and I-95 interchanges in Marple, as well as Ridley and Nether Providence townships.

Additionally, U.S. 1/Baltimore Pike/Media Bypass north and south between the I-476 Interchange and Creek Road in Marple, Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord, and Chadds Ford townships will see lane closures, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
