Interstate 476 North, South Seeing Nightly Lane Closures: Penndot

PennDOT said north and southbound travel lanes of Interstate 476 in parts of Delaware and Montgomery counties will be affected by sign maintenance this week.

According to PennDOT, lanes on both north and southbound I-476 between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 95 interchanges will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning Monday, Feb. 12 through the morning of Saturday, Feb. 17.

The area affects Radnor, Haverford, Marple, Upper Providence, Nether Providence, Springfield and Ridley townships in Delco, as well as Plymouth, West Conshohocken and Lower Merion townships in Montco, PennDOT said.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time on when traveling through the work area, PennDOT said.

The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.

The project is expected to be completed in May 2018.
