July 24-30: Scenes Around Marple Newtown Patch
A behind-the-scenes look of St. Pius X School's Summer Enrichment Program in Broomall.
The Summer Enrichment Program operated by the the Home and School Association of in Broomall will end in two weeks. Beginning in late June, the program has offered a series of enrichment opportunities for area children. The curriculum includes arts & crafts, science, sports, writing, technology, and even cooking. The learning opportunities are aimed at children from preschool through eighth grade.
Patch stopped by on Wednesday to look in on three programs. Best Foot Forward is a program designed for preschool children in which they learn and play at the same time. First Grade Fun is intended to prepare preschoolers for their entry into the first grade classroom in September, while Clay Camp is just what it sounds like, a place and time to work on clay crafts. And All Sports give the children an opportunity to enjoy any or many athletic activities.
During our visit, we made two important observations: the children were truly enjoying themselves and the instructors cared about their work. Take a look at the gallery. If you want information about the remaining or next year's summer programs, send an email to Summer@SPXBroomall.org.
